Fox Barrel Ciders Take Two Gold and One Bronze:
2007 California State Fair and West Coast Brewers Competition
Press Release; July 2007
Another First Place award, a new gold medal, and a new bronze award mark Fox Barrel Cider Company’s most recent strides in their mission to create world-class ciders.
For the second consecutive year, Fox Barrel was awarded First Place for its Pear Cider at the California State Fair in May. The Pear Cider also received a gold medal and their Hard Apple Cider took bronze at the West Coast Brewers Commercial Craft Competition, also in May, held in Sacramento, CA. The West Coast Brewers Festival is the first Brew Fest dedicated to celebrating the significance of California, Washington, and Oregon in the development of the Micro Brew industry.
“We’re constantly refining our cider making skills, which is really beginning to show as we continue to receive awards,” said Sean Deorsey, Fox Barrel’s cider-maker.
Fox Barrel, whose products include Hard Apple Cider, Pear Cider, and Black Currant Cider, is a maturing company with ciders currently available throughout California and Oregon, and portions of Washington, Idaho, and Nevada.
